Description

Lubricant for body surfaces moving against one another. The use So-called lubricant to reduce the friction of body surfaces moving against one another by smoothing them - commonly summarized under the term of lubrication - is well known. After all, daily practice often results in cases where none corresponds to the known lubricant or which is a disproportionately large one and require expensive lubricant consumption. Let us only think of cases in which moving parts after their assembly for a continuous or at least periodic introduction of lubricants are inaccessible, such. B. the interior Bowden spirals, the abrasive contact surfaces of bundled leaf springs Vehicles, or those cases in which structural elements to be lubricated are capable of their size or their expansion in no way against atmospheric influences can be protected, such as B. racks of rack railways, slide and guide rails, Ropes, rope drums and idler pulleys of conveyor systems, heavily curved track parts for small and trams, etc.

The invention relates to a lubricant according to the invention Friction-reducing, smoothing, solid substances such as those from the lubricant industry generally known substances, such as talc, graphite, etc., instead of not as before drying oils, fats or the like. Dispersants, in more or less quickly drying and thereby a film-forming solutions in highly dispersed division contains. The various low-viscosity dispersants are suitable as film-forming dispersants Resin lacquers, varnishes ,. Wood oil, cellulose ester, cellon and synthetic resin solutions. In such systems, the lubricant provides after drying and film formation represents the main part and is only a relatively small amount of intermicellar Substance-forming dispersant rigidly connected and from this on the base held. Such lubricants, "lubricating varnishes", can be dipped, brushed on, Brush or spray onto the body surfaces to be smoothed, wherever they then after drying, the firm, weather-resistant, well-adhering coating form.

The technical progress of this lubricant compared to the previous known lubricants can be seen in the fact that the lubricating element, for. B. the graphite, according to the invention by the dispersant solidified to form a film is rigidly and immovably connected to the parts to be lubricated. This like that formed:> lubricating surface "is extremely durable, requires little maintenance and only seldom renewal. When using the previously usual Graphite suspensions in water or oil as a lubricant, on the other hand, tend to that these funds are pressed out from bearings or other lubrication points on machine elements and the graphite it contains is only used to a small extent. Consists on the other hand, the dispersant according to the invention consists of a solidifying agent to form a film Liquid and forms @es on the machine elements to be lubricated before commissioning a solid coating obviously gives a far more effective one Fixation of the smoothing material, e.g. B. graphite, as finite all others not solidifying dispersants.

A "lubricant paint" according to the invention consists, for. B. from 50 kg of a completely carefree enamel paint that forms a smooth, crack-free film when it dries in the air or even better in the oven. This amount of paint is mixed with about 150 kg of gasoline and 25 to 50 kg of the purest, preferably synthetic, graphite. Since the bodies to be smoothed are often iron construction elements, a rust-preventing effect of the bonded coatings is also very desirable. Apart from the well-known rust preventive effect, namely graphite, one or more pronounced rust inhibitors, such as, for. B. metal compounds, preferably lead oxides, may be included.
