Gasschutzmaske aus schmiegsamem Stoff mit starrem Mundstück. Gasschutzmasken
bestehen im wesentlichen aus einem Kegel, in welchem Aussparungen für die Augengläser
vorgesehen sind und bei dem die Spitze abgeschnitten ist und die so entstandene
öffnung durch den Mundring geschlossen wird, der zum Anschluß an das Atemschutzgerät
und gegebenenfalls auch zur Unterbringung der Ventile dient. Bisher war es üblich,
diesen Mundring entsprechend der Form des Kegelschnittes kreisförmig zu wählen.
Dieses kreisförmige Mundstück hat aber Nachteile, welche in der Hauptsache darin
bestehen, daß die Form der Maske bei Verwendung eines solchen Mundstückes nicht

Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Mundstück von günstiger Form, das
im Zusammenhang damit auch eine günstige Lage des :Maskenkörpers selbst ermöglicht,
wenn man das Mundstück dem am meisten vorstehenden Teil des Gesichts anpaßt. Die
am meisten vorstehenden Stellen des Gesichts sind die Nasenspitze und das Kinn.
Dem Mundstück wird daher die Form eines Dreiecks gegeben, welches durch den der
Nasenspitze entsprechenden Punkt als Spitze und eine dem Kinn entsprechende Linie
als Grundlinie bestimmt ist. Die Ecken dieses Dreiecks muß man entsprechend abrunden.
Die dem Kinn entsprechende Grundlinie wird zweckmäßig nach unten gewölbt. Der Hauptvorteil
eines Mundstückes in dieser Form besteht darin, daß der Mundring die Maske vor den
Wangen, «-elche im Gesicht stark zurücktreten, nicht unnatürlich weit nach außen
drückt, dadurch keinen unnötig großen Totraum in der Maske verursacht, es aber ermöglicht,
daß der Maskenkörper den Gesichtsformen folgt und daher ohne Druck und Spannungen
einen dichten Anschluß gewährleistet. Ein weiterer Vorteil eines Mundstückes in
dieser Form ergibt sich dadurch, daß auf seiner Fläche Aus- und Einatemventil wie
auch der Anschlußstutzen für das Filter in vorteilhafter Weise angeordnet werden
können, ohne daß, wie beim kreisrunden Mundstück, ein großer Teil der Fläche ungenutzt
