Process for the sieving of granular dry material with simultaneous
Cooling by means of an air stream. It is known to dry goods of unevenly
Grain, in particular lignite, which is to be briquetted, usually immediately
After drying, they can be sieved at the same time and by means of a stream of air or gas
to cool. It was preferable to use drum screens with gradually increasing size
Meshes, but also plansifters and the like. So far, however, a twofold has been shown
Disadvantage: at the beginning of each sieve stage, the goods were close together, and so was the air
stroked sideways past the property without thoroughly penetrating and closing it
cool. The larger grain sizes slipped quickly and closed to the next screening stage,
so that even an enlargement of the sieve device itself did not bring any improvement.
Numerous practical experiments have now shown that one
thorough improvement can be achieved in the above-mentioned circumstances,
that on the one hand the passage of the dry material through the sieve in such a
Way regulates and possibly delayed that the dry goods at the same time
is loosened again and again, and that on the other hand the cooling air or gas flow
leads in such a way that it must completely flow through the dry material. The practical implementation
this process takes place in such a way that resistances are created on the screen surface
smd; `iv6I'e have to be climbed over through the Tr-o-bkengut, whereby this
is loosened again and again, and also by the fact that the dry air flow each
a path other than that blocked by the property. This is achieved with sieve drums
in that arranged on its outside radially placed wing-like lugs
which are practical with their outer edge against the enclosing housing
close tightly and which prevent the air rising from the bottom to the top,
to flow through between the rotating drum and the surrounding sheet metal housing,
so to bypass the good. The air is therefore forced to the part occupied by the property
to use the sieve to pass through, and comes into intimate contact with the
Screenings. However, this facility alone would not be sufficient, it must be
sufficient loosening of the material to be sieved takes place. For this purpose are inside
the sieve drum arranged annular or collar-shaped resistors, which so steeped
are that they have to be climbed over by the property in a loosened form, whereby the
Good is rushed over and over again and loosened up and correspondingly slower
goes over the sieve, bringing the air
for a long period of time
The opportunity is given to influence the property from all sides.
In the case of plansifters, the same procedure is carried out in such a way that
that the flat visible surface all around against the housing by flexible tabs
and tight connections is sealed, while inclined on the visible surface
Resistance bars are arranged over which the property must climb and
is thereby loosened up.
in ihrer praktischen Durchführung veranschaulicht.
In the accompanying drawing, both exemplary embodiments are illustrated schematically in their practical implementation. In the device according to Fig. I and 2, the material to be dried falls through the downpipe a into the rotatable sieve drum b, which is arranged in the closed housing c. On the outside of the sieve drum b, the wings d are attached, which extend up to close to the housing wall, and these wings prevent the air flowing in at s and at, f from passing the outside of the drum between this and the housing and force it to always stepping through the sieve drum from below towards the good. In the interior of the sieve drum b the inclined ring or collar-shaped resistances g are arranged; -over which the material must climb during its process The device for the flat screen is illustrated in Fig. 3 and q. The material is again fed through the pipe a to the vibrating screen h; the latter is arranged in the housing c, which at e the Air flows in to leave it again at f. The wings! Are attached to the side of the vibrating sieve h, which seal sufficiently tightly against the housing c, while the free end of the vibrating sieve is hermetically sealed against the housing c by a flexible tab k. Its other end can be brought to a sufficiently tight seal by directly resting on the edge of the drain L: or by appropriately arranged rollers . The side wings! and the tab k prevent the air from flowing sideways. The inclined storage rails l arranged on the sieve l act in the same way as the storage rings in the previously described embodiment in that they circulate the material.
