hier beschriebene Schmetterlingsbahnkarussell weist mehrere Neuerungen auf und ist
in der Herstellung bedeutend einfacher und billiger. Aus der Beschreibung geht eine

Das Neue bei dieser Erfindung besteht darin, claß die Kartissellplatte

An der Unterseite der Karussellplatte ist über den IZiidern ein Nockenring 7 angebracht,
welcher an vier Stellen des Umfanges gleichmäßig gewellt ist; auf einem Ring, welcher
mit der Platte und dein Lager 3 verstrebt ist, sind die Achsen der Sitztrommeln
angeordnet. Am Untergestell sind gegenüberliegend zwei Ständer 8, o mit Gleitrollen
auf den Armen, welche am Nockenring 7 laufen, aufgebaut. Am Gleitrollenariii des
einen Ständers i ist das Seil befestigt, das iiber die zwischenliegenden Rillen
dor Sitztrommeln und die - Gleitrollen des anderen Ständers 9 gelegt und mit einem
Gewicht io gespannt wird. Das Seil wird durch die auf und ab schwingende Bewegung
der Gleitrollen ständig irn gleichmäßigen, parallelen Abstand %-on der Platte gehalten,
und es gleiten die Sitztrommeln mit ihren Rillen jeweils daran entlang. 1n der Mitte
der Sitztrommeln werden Schmetterlinge i i erhöht angebracht, deren Flügel aus leichtem,
gespanntem Stoff auf Scharnierkörpern gelagert sind. Der mittlere Sitzkessel r2
ist erhöht und dreht entgegengesetzt auf gleichbleibender Höhe. Wird das Ganze in
Bewegung gebracht, so läuft die harussellplatte rotierend auf und ab; die Sitztrommeln
drehen sich auf der einen Seite um ihre eigene Achse und laufen auf der anderen
Seite aus oder bleiben stehen. Während die Flügel der Schmetterlinge durch die Aufundabbewegung
von selbst flattern, wird denselben durch die Drehung' der Sitztrommeln die Richtung
jeweils geändert. Durch die ineinandergreifenden Bewegungen wird die Illusion der
Flugbahn der Schmetterlinge hervor-.erufen und dem Publikum ein äußerst originelles
