Der Apparat besteht aus zwei Doppelhebeln H1 H^ bezw. hj h2, welche um Stifte S1 s.2 drehbar
mit denselben an dem Kloben K befestigt sind. An den Enden der oberen Hebelarme
\ h2 sind um Stifte lose drehbare Röllchen
rx r2 angeordnet. Am vorderen Theile des
Klobens K ist vermittelst Schrauben die Platte ρ befestigt, in deren schrägen Schlitzen die aus
bestem Stahl hergestellten Messer JW1m2 Aufnanme
finden. Die schräg eingeführten Messer mx m2
bilden an ihren zusammenstofsenden Flächen einen nach oben und aufsen erweiterten Schlitz
und sind derartig geschärft, dafs dieselben bei der Ingebrauchnahme des Apparates die Sensenschneide
hobelartig bearbeiten bezw. schärfen. Am hinteren Theile des Klobens K ist ferner,
auf einem Stifte lose drehbar, das mit einer Nuth versehene verstellbare Führungsröllchen f
angeordnet. Die beiden seitwärts aufstehenden Lappen Z1 I2 des Klobens K dienen zum Anlegen

Behufs Schärfens der Sense setzt man den Apparat derartig an dieselbe, dafs deren Schnittfläche

vermittelst der Hebelarme H1 H2 über die
Sense hin und zurück, so dafs durch die scharfen, hobelartigen Kanten der Messer ein
Span von der Sense abgeschabt wird. Ein Hauptvorzug des Apparates soll der sein, dafs
