Description

Vorrichtung zum Verbinden der Enden zweier paralleler Rohre. Die Priorität der Anmeldung in den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika vom 21. Juni 1926 ist in Anspruch genommen. Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine aus einem vorteilhaft zweiteiligen Gesenk und einem mit diesem zusammenwirkenden Stempel bestehende Vorrichtung zum Verbinden der Enden von zwei parallelen Rohren zu einem gemeinsamen Ende. Wenn nun das gemeinsame offene Ende nicht, wie es z. B. bei 1Jberhitzerrohren der Fall ist, mit einer geschlossenen Umkehrkappe versehen werden, sondern offen bleiben soll, um nach Umgestaltung in eine beispielsweise zylindrische Form an ein gemeinsames Sammelrohr angeschlossen zu werden, so kann es in diesem Falle wegen der größeren Länge des herzustellenden gemeinsamen Rohrendes vorkommen, daß der Stempel beim Einführen in die in dem Gesenk befindlichen Rohrenden an dem Rohrmaterial haftenbleibt und dieses nach innen mitnimmt, so daß eine fehlerhafte Verbindungsstelle an den Rohrenden entsteht. Um diesen Nachteil zu vermeiden, ist gemäß der Erfindung der Stempel zwischen zwei in die Rohrenden bis über den Beginn der Trennungswand im Gesenk hinaus einzuführenden und in der Arbeitslage festgehaltenen Stangen auf denselben verschiebbar angeordnet. Der auf diesen Stangen verschiebbare Stempel wird an den Längsseiten von zwei ebenen parallelen und zwei gekrümmten Flächen begrenzt, mit welch letzteren er sich an den beiden inneren Seiten der Stangen führt.Device for connecting the ends of two parallel pipes. Während des eigentlichen Arbeitsvorganges werden diese Stangen durch irgendwelche Mittel in ihrer Lage festgehalten. Auf diesen Stangen ist nun der eigentliche Stempel 6 (Abb. 3 und 5) verschiebbar, der oben und unten durch die beiden parallelen Flächen 7 und 8 und ferner seitlich durch die beiden gekrümmten Flächen 9 und io begrenzt wird, mit welch letzteren der Stempel auf den Stangen 4 und 5 geführt wird. Hierbei werden durch die Schneidkanten i i und 12 am inneren Ende des Stempels 6 die Rohrenden an den benachbarten Wandteilen 13 und 14 aufgeschlitzt. Diese aufgeschlitzten Teile werden nach außen aufgebogen und beim weiteren Eindringen des Dornes miteinander verschweißt. Bei diesem Arbeitsvorgang ist durch die erfindungsgemäße Anordnung der Stangen 4 und 5 und des auf diesen verschiebbaren Stempels 6 ein Zusammenrollen oder Falten des Wandmaterials der Rohrenden so gut wie ausgeschlossen, und zwar ohne Rücksicht auf die Länge des gemeinsamen Endes.
