Description

Herstellung von Schleifwerkzeugen durch Aufkleben starrer, dünnwandiger Schleifstoffbeläge mit Gewebeunterlage auf Tragkörper. 'Man hat zur Vornahme von schwerer Schleifarbeit und zur Vermeidung vollmassigex Schleifkörper, weil sie mit abnehmendem Durchmesser unwirtschaftlich arbeiten, schon vielfach versucht, die Schleifmasse nur in Schichtform (Trommel) an der Mantelfläche von rasch umlaufenden Rotationskörpern aus Eisen als tragenden Kern anzubringen. Der Schleifstoffmantel (Trommel) besteht dabei aus einem einzigen in sich geschlossenen Körper. Im Ersatzfalle muß daher der Schleiftrommelträger aus seiner Lagerung herausgenommen und an den Erzeugungsort zurückgesandt werden. Der andere Weg, die Schleifwirkung von Schleifpapieren und Schleifleinen, bei welchen die Schleifmasse auf eine Papier- oder Gewebeunterlage aufgeleimt ist, auszunutzen, konnte zu keinem Erfolge führen, da alle derartigen Schleifwerkzeuge zur Ausführung von schwerer Schleifarbeit untauglich sind. Die Lösung der Aufgabe, die Tragkörper für den Schleifbelag an Ort und Stelle mit eil-tem neuen starren Schleifbelag zu versehen, erfolgt erfindungsgemäß in der «'eise, daß der rufzubringende starre, dünne Schleifbelag durch geeignete Trennfugen in mehrere Teile so zu unterteilen ist, daß die Teile leicht auf den -Kern an Ort und Stelle aufgebracht und abgenommen werden können. Von der Verwendung dieser Schleifbeläge für vorliegende Zwecke schreckt,. man lange Zeit zurück, da man besorgte, daß die Befestigung den erheblichen Schleuderkräften und der Beanspruchung beim Schleifen selbst nicht standharten würde. Insbesondere fürchtete man, daß kleine Herstellungsfehler. etwa in der Verbindung der Schleiftrasse mit der Faserstofunterlage oder in der Verbindung der Faserstolfunterlage mit dem Tragkörper, z. B. durch Bildung kleiner Hohlstellen o. dgl., verhängnisvoll werden könnten. Als besonders gefährdet betrachtete man die Stoßfugenenden der aufgebrachten Mantelteile, erstens mit Rücksicht auf die gesteigerte Sprenggefahr der die Unterstützung der benachbarten Teile ermangelnden Fugenenden und zweitens infolge des Auftretens von Stößen beim Auftreffen der Stoßfuge auf die Werkstückkante, namentlich dann, wenn die Enden nicht dicht I am Kern anliegen. Es hat sich jedoch ge- i zeigt, daß durch einige einfache Maßnahmen diese - Schwierigkeiten überwunden werden j können. Vor allen Dingen ist natürlich dafür zu sorgen, daß die Schleifbläge der Gestalt des Tragkörpers völlig entsprechend geformt werden, so daß die Berührungsflächen dicht aneinander anliegen. Die zur Befestigung der Mantelteile für Grobschliff zweckmäl:)ig verwendete Kittschicht fällt dann überall gleich- E mäßig aus. Für leichtere Schleifarbeiten. genügt auch eine Befestigung der abgebogenen Faserstoffenden durch mechanische Spannmittel. Es ist zweckmäßig, die Trennfugen auf der Mantelfläche so zu legen, daß sie die Schleifberührungslinie zwischen Werkstück und Werkzeug kreuzt, z. B. gerade beim Hyperboloid und Schraubenlinie beim Zvlinder.
