Description
Process for the production of inlay imitations on wood or the like. The invention relates to a method for producing any type of imitation insert in wood, which consists of the following: The pattern that is desired as an imitation wood insert is used as a stencil made of strong cardboard or paper, which may only be covered with (il is prepared, cut out. The template is cut before or after it is cut out impregnated on the underside with sebum or other similar fat, that this is painted on a wooden plate and the stencil is heated by means of a Plate is pressed hard against it. The sebum that melts will be in a flat Lay the layer on the underside of the stencil, which is then covered with the Side down on the area to be treated. Then with a heated block of wood o. The like. Pressed the stencil downwards so that it is completely adheres smoothly and tightly to the production board. This has the color, for example of natural wood. The pattern of the stencil is then made with various stains transferred to the underlying surface, after which the stencil is removed. That With this method, the pattern will be pure and sharp without blurred contours. The surface decorated in this way is then polished in a known manner and has an appearance as if it were inserted. Every pattern and every wood composition can be used be made this way. The method can be performed on any wooden surface, e.g. B. to It is used to decorate fillings, panels, wooden ceilings, table tops and sewing boxes and the imitation will be difficult to distinguish from an insert. the The stain can be transferred with a brush or other means. Possible several templates can be used to create the pattern.
