Description
Process for the preparation of sulfonic acid derivatives aralkylated, polynuclear aromatic or hydroaromatic hydrocarbons. The products of action are sulphurised from aralkyl halides (e.g. benzyl chloride) to naphthalene, hydronaphthalenes, Anthracene, phenanthrene, etc., or aralkyl halides are left on naphthalene sulfonic acids, etc. act, one obtains sulphonic acids, which, be it in free form, be it in form their alkali salts of various uses in the dye and textile industries as well as in other trades.
It has now been found that products of changed and can be obtained even more favorable properties by the fact that the above Products of action before, during or after the sulphonation with higher molecular weight Reacts alcohols in changing proportions.
One can proceed, for example, that one on benzylnaphtbalin higher alcohols during or after sulphonation with strong sulphonation agents Lets act, or that one naphthalenesulfonic acids either simultaneously or in succession Treated with aralkyl halides and higher alcohols of all kinds. To the same Products can also be obtained if you use naphthalene during the sulphonation at the same time or reacted successively with, for example, benzyl chloride and butyl alcohol. Examples: 1. Heat 12.8 parts of naphthalene with 130 parts of benzyl chloride until cessation the development of hydrochloric acid, 150 parts of butyl alcohol are added and sulfated with a Mixture of about 5o parts 2o percent oleum and 1q.o parts chlorosulfonic acid about 7o to 8o °. After water solubility has occurred, it may be removed the excess sulfuric acid with lime, converts the lime salt of the resulting sulfonic acid into the sodium salt and dry, or you can dry without limescale.
Dasselbe trifft für die in den folgenden Beispielen beschriebenen Sulfosäuren bzw. deren Natronsalzen zu.The new sulfonic acid, which in the form of its matron salt is almost colorless Powder represents, has compared to the sulfation of the action product Sulphonic acid obtained from benzyl chloride on naphthalene without the use of an alcohol a greatly increased foaming capacity and a much better wetting and emulsifying capacity. The same applies to the sulfonic acids or sulfonic acids described in the following examples. their sodium salts too.
z. Nach beendigter Reaktion wird die Masse wie in Beispiel i angegeben aufgearbeitet.z. 13o parts of benzyl chloride are added to 18 parts of naphthalene at the same time. 50 parts of oleum ao percent mixed with 1.4o parts of chlorosulfonic acid and at the same time 1q.8 Parts of n-butyl alcohol run in at 90 to 100 degrees. After finished Reaction, the mass is worked up as indicated in Example i.
Heat 128 parts of naphthalene and 130 parts of benzyl chloride until the development of hydrochloric acid ceases and the resulting oil is sulfated with 5o Parts of oleum 2% and 14o parts of chlorosulfonic acid at 6o to 100 °. After finished Sulfation is added 100 parts of cyclohexanol at about 80 ° and reworked completed reaction as indicated in Example i.
Danach fügt man bei etwa ioo° eine Mischung von 7o Teilen Isobutylalkohol und 5o Teilen Monohydrat hinzu und arbeitet nach Beispiel i auf.4. 100 parts of the by condensation of benzyl chloride with tetralin The resulting resinous oil becomes 2% with a mixture of 25 parts of oleum and 70 parts of chlorosulfonic acid sulfated at about 6o to 100 °. Then you add about 100 ° a mixture of 70 parts of isobutyl alcohol and 50 parts of monohydrate are added and works according to example i.
Then at the same time i26 parts of benzyl chloride, 74 parts of butyl alcohol and 90 parts of concentrated sulfuric acid with stirring Gradually run in about 100 to 120 degrees. After implementation and separation the separated excess sulfuric acid is in the usual way, without limescale, worked up on free acid or salts.
Ammonsalzes gewinnt. Man kann die zuletzt zugegebenen 9o Teile Schwefelsäure auch in zwei Teilen zugeben, den ersten Teil mit dem Chlorid, den zweiten mit dem Butylalkohol.6. 128 parts of naphthalene are converted into naphthalene sulfonic acid with 150 parts of 96 percent sulfuric acid at 130 °. 126 parts of benzyl chloride and 90 parts of concentrated sulfuric acid are then allowed to run in gradually at 10 ° to 120 ° with stirring. To this end, 74 parts of n-butyl alcohol flow. After the reaction has taken place, the excess sulfuric acid which settles at the bottom when standing still is separated off, whereupon the reaction product is obtained as such or in the form of the sodium or ammonium salt. The 90 parts of sulfuric acid added last can also be added in two parts, the first part with the chloride, the second part with the butyl alcohol.
B. Allylalkohol ersetzen. One can get the butyl alcohol by the equivalent amount of another higher molecular weight alcohol z. B. Replace allyl alcohol.
