Description

Vorrichtung zum Fernanzeigen des Stands und der Menge einer Flüssigkeit in einem Behälter mittels eines unterteilten Schwimmers. Vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf Benzintankinhaltsmesser an Kraftfahrzeugen, bei denen das Meßinstrument selbst nicht am Tank angebracht ist, sondern sich am Spritzbrett befindet. Die im Kraftwagen vorhandene Licht-und AnlaBbatterie liefert zu der in: der Art einer Strom- oder Spannungsmessung erfolgenden Übertragung die elektrische Energie, indem der Widerstand einer in den Tank eingebauten Widerstandsspirale mit Hilfe eines unterteilten Schwimmers jeweils nach der Höhe des Benzinstands im Tank geändert wird oder indem auf der Widerstandsspirale durch den unterteilten Schwimmer eine der Benzinstandshöhe entsprechende Spannung abgegriffen wird, so daß einem gewissen Ausschlag des Meßinstruments ein bestimmter Tankinhalt entspricht. Dabei bilden die aus lose in einer metallenen Außenführung liegenden Metallhohlkörper oder die in verschiedener Höhe der Außenführung in Scharnieren dreh- oder schwenkbar angeordneten Teilschwimmer die direkte Strombrücke zwischen ihrer Außenführung und der Widerstandsspirale. Der Widerstand des Meßstromkreises wird hierbei ohne Verschiebung von Schleifkontakten geändert, so daß die bei bisher bekannten Vorrichtungen durch Reibung hervorgerufenenl Meßfehler vermieden sind und weiterhin die bei der bisherigen Verwendung von Teilschwimmern nötigen Übertragungsvorrichtungen auf außerhalb- des Tanks liegende Meßvorrichtungen irgendwelcher Art in Wegfall kommen, wodurch eine unnötige Belastung und7-deshalb eine bestimmte Mindestgrößenausführung des einzelnen Teilschwimmers vermieden ist. Die Höhen des Tankspiegels bestimmt also selbsttätig die wirksame Länge der Widerstandsspirale f, so daß die Messung der durch sie fließenden Stromstärke ein Maß für den Tankinhalt ist. Da der Inhalt des Tanks jedoch nicht nur von seiner Höhe, sondern auch von der Gesamtform abhängig ist, erfolgt nach dem Einbau der Apparate zur Erzielung genauer Inhaltsangaben zweckmäßig eine Nacheichung des Meßinstruments 1. Der Inhalt kann in Prozenten des Tankinhalts oder in Litern angegeben werden.
