Bottom valve, especially for ships. In the case of ships, the inflow takes place
of the water required to feed the boiler or to cool the motors
through the bottom valve. The valve is usually on the ship's wall below the
Arranged waterline. It must be easy after covering the respective water requirement
and can be closed quickly and properly. But experience has shown
that this is often not possible. Such a failure
occurs for example
easily when driving on emitting and mud-carrying waters. Also creepers
contribute. The result is a clogging of the inlet screen. The deposits
of the water also often lead to clogging of the valve body itself and in
further consequence to damage to the valve seat, so that a proper
and perfect closing is no longer possible. Such disturbances can occur during
the journey of the ship not remedied due to complete inaccessibility of all parts
will. A malfunction in the machine system is inevitable. This ultimately leads
for the temporary decommissioning of the ship, as for cleaning and repair
of the valve must be docked.
In the case of the bottom valve according to the invention, these disadvantages are eliminated.
The design of the valve allows not only a cleaning of the inlet strainer and the
inner valve chamber and cone, but the replacement of the valve cone
is possible without any risk of water ingress. All repair work
can be carried out in a short time while driving. The easy accessibility of all
Parts also makes the use of the valve in stationary systems advantageous.
dargestellt. The object of the invention is shown in the drawing in longitudinal and cross-section
shown.
auch die Reinigung der Leitung B.In the valve chamber i, two valve seats 2, 3 are one on both sides
