Abstract

The bow flap system where in the closed state the bow flap is secured by a foldable forward stem post (1) which produces a positive fit connection between the bow and the keel (3). To open the bow a segment (2) of both walls is pivoted inwards and displaced to the rear parallel to the bow walls. Alternatively to open the bow part of the bow walls is first displaced forwards and then raised to the hight of the deck. After closure the link between the operating elements and the bow flap is disconnected manually, to prevent accidental opening.

Description

The invention relates to a bow flap system for ferries. The so far Common bow flap systems for ferries are designed so that the entire bow is built up to a length of several meters. This means that the hull is practically divided lengthways and the load-bearing Construction of the hull ends at the point where the joint for the bow flap. This also means that everyone is by sea caused forces like in normal, closed ships in the load-bearing structure are evenly initiated, but that itself these considerable forces on the joints and locks of the bow flap concentrate what can lead to the breakage of these parts and have already led Has.

This disadvantage is to be avoided by the present invention. A uniform introduction of force into the ship's hull is to be achieved by a bow flap system, characterized in that the bow flap is secured in the closed state by a foldable front strut, which establishes a positive connection between the bow tip and the keel. The invention is described below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 5.

Fig. 1 zeigt das Bugklappensystem im geschlossenen Zustand. Fig. 1 shows the bow flap system in the closed state. A foldable front post ( 1 ) is attached to the bow tip with an eccentric ( 5 ) so that it can be folded up for opening. The opening of the bow for loading and unloading is done by segments ( 2 ), which are described below. In Fig. 2 the foldable front leg ( 1 ) is shown. To close and secure the system, the front leg ( 1 ) is folded down and engages with a hook ( 4 ) in a barb ( 7 ) located on the keel. Subsequently, the front leg ( 1 ) is pulled upwards by turning the eccentric ( 5 ) and thus pulled into the lock formed by the hooks ( 4 ) and ( 7 ) that a positive connection is created. By the wedge ( 3 ), which is fastened by a screw ( 8 ), the connec tion is secured and can thus be subjected to tension and pressure. In Fig. 3 a section through the actual opening elements. These consist of two segments ( 2 ) of the side wall. To open the segments ( 2 ) are first pivoted inwards (broken line) and then pushed in parallel by suitable actuating elements (not shown) to the rear next to the side wall. In Figs. 4 and 5 is another from the front hatches Bearing system shown. Here, the opening element consists of a bow segment ( 9 ), which is opened by opening the front step ( 1 ) by pushing it forward and then lifting it up to the level of the deck. In all of the sketches, the actuating elements, which, for. B. can work electrically or hydraulically, not shown. After the closing process has been completed, the connections between the actuation elements and the bow flap system must be released by hand to prevent incorrect operation.
