Description
Process for taking photographs of X-rays under Implementation of the differences in hardness of the rays in visible tones and recording material. In the photographic recording of X-ray fluoroscopic images only differences in intensity are shown. It is usually very difficult, minor Differences in intensity, such as B. caused by a small ulcer, to recognize at all.
The idea of the invention now consists in the following: With every absorption X-rays not only weaken their intensity, but also the spectral composition changed if, as is always the case in practice, the Radiation is not monochromatic. You can now make the change in the following way the spectral composition, make visible on a photographic plate: The layer of the plate becomes, similar to that in photography in natural Colors is known, covered with a grid, so that this between the recording sensitive layer and subject is switched on. The grid consists of several transparent substances that absorb X-rays to different degrees. To fix an example: The plate is covered with three types of starch grains, of which the first with a lead salt, the second with a copper salt and the third is soaked with an aluminum salt. Each of these three varieties absorbs now from your radiation mixture, before it hits the layer, part of the rays each variety changes the spectral composition in different ways Way. You can now arbitrarily color each of the three types of grain with different colors on, e.g. B. the first green, the second blue, the third red, then the developed one Plate in places where it is hit by radiation of different hardness, different show visible hues. On a shadow image recorded with such a plate of an object are the places where the rays are longer Have traveled way in the substance or where substances of various types of absorption are traversed, not only by a change in intensity, but also by a Show change in hue, and there the human eye for hue differences is very sensitive, in this way there becomes the possibility of detecting such Make very relieved.
