Die Querwand ist sodann nach oben mit einem nach dem Oberwasser zu gerichteten, höher als der Schleusenkammerdrempel liegenden Ansatz versehen. In die Kammer strömt das am Kammerschleusenunterhaupt ausströmende Wasser ein und gelangt alsdann nach Vernichtung der lebendigen Kraft aus ihr in das eigentliche Unterwasser.
