Verfahren zum Färben von pflanzlicher Faser. Zum Färben: von Baumwolle
werden bis jetzt vorwiegend Benzidinfarbstoffe angewendet. Außerdem sind in dieser
Hinsicht hervorzuheben: Derivatedes i : 5-Naphthylendiamins bzw. seiner 3, 7-Disulfosäure
(vgl. Patente 39954, 62o75), Derivate der i, 4-Naphthylendiaminsulfosäure
bzw. ihrer Acetylprodukte (vgl.
For dyeing: up to now mainly benzidine dyes have been used on cotton. The following should also be emphasized in this regard: derivatives of i: 5-naphthylenediamine or its 3, 7-disulfonic acid (see patents 39954, 62o75), derivatives of i, 4-naphthylenediaminesulfonic acid and its acetyl products (see patents 78,831, 79,910 ), Derivatives of 2,3-diaminonaphthalene-6-sulfonic acid and especially the monoazo derivatives of 2,5-aminonaphthol-7-sulfonic acid (1-acid) as well as those of acylated 2,7 aminonaphthol (patents 116 Zoo, r 16 2oi) .

substantive Eigenschaften aufweisen. It has now been observed that cotton can also be treated with the from 2, 6-nitronaphthylamine sulfonic acids

Beispiel.
Lösung der i : 4-Naphtholsulfosäure (N. W.) dargestellt.Example. Cotton is dyed with a soda-alkaline solution of an azo dye, which is formed by a process described below from 2-nitro-6-naphthylamine-4-sulfonic acid and i-naphthol-4-sulfonic acid, the amount of dye being 3 percent of the cotton to be dyed. During the dyeing, which begins at ordinary temperature and gradually increases to boiling in half an hour and then kept boiling for another half hour, 10 to 15 percent of table salt is added to the solution. A violet-red washable dyeing is obtained in this way. The dye in question is made by diazotizing 2-nitro-6-naphthylamine-4-sulfonic acid (patent 57 023) using an equimolecular amount of sodium nitrite with cooling and stirring in hydrochloric acid solution and by adding the diazo solution to the soda-alkaline solution of the i: 4-naphtholsulfonic acid (NW) shown.
anderen Azokomponenten
bekommt man auch Azofarbstoffe, die in alkalischer
Flotte Baumwolle in rote bis blaurote Nuancen anzufärben vermögen. Der aus Cleve-Säure
als Azokomponente dargestellte Farbstoff färbt Baumwolle grauviolett. Falls man
vegetabilischen Fasern. If one uses phenol instead of the naphthol sulfonic acid, so
