Description

Process for dyeing acetate silk. As is well known, the acetate silk offers certain difficulties in coloring. The fact that basic amino compounds Are related to acetate silk and, especially on the fiber, diazotized and coupled with a wide variety of developers to give usable color tones cannot completely solve the question, since mixed tones are difficult to find in this way are preserved. Pretreatment with alkaline saponifying agents will indeed made the acetate silk receptive to the common colors of technology, In this way, however, it partially loses its shine and its character as special waterproof cellulose ester fiber.

Even less than dyeing with amino compounds has an addition of organic or inorganic agents for dye bath the problem of acetate silk dyeing so far brought closer to the solution. So it was all the more surprising that by adding pyridine or its homologues to the dyebath with basic dyes very usable and deep shades of the whole color spectrum can be obtained, whereby it was found that this is by no means a saponification of the cellulose ester acts. Basic dyes without pyridine only give very weak colorations. Pyridine or its homologues are added to the dyebath and the coloring is expedient made at 6o to 70 °. The dyeings obtained in this way stand out partially, as in the case of auramine O, diamond fox, turquoise blue BB, crystal violet P u. a., due to a much better lightfastness than on tannic cotton.

Beispiel i.Example i.

o,i g Diamantfuchsin werden in ioo ccm Wasser gelöst.. In die 6o° warme Lösung, der man vorher etwa i g Pyridin zugesetzt hat, geht man mit der gutgenetzten Ware ein und färbt bei obiger Temperatur, spült, säuert zweckmäßig mit Essig- oder Ameisensäure ab und trocknet.o, i g of diamond fuchsin are dissolved in 100 cc of water. In the 60 ° warm solution, to which about 1 g of pyridine has been added beforehand, goes with the well-wetted one Goods and dyed at the above temperature, rinses, acidified appropriately with vinegar or Formic acid and dries.

Beispiel e.Example e.

Spülen, Säuren und Trocknen wie unter i. 0.2 to 0.3 g of China green, crystallized, are dissolved in 100 cc of hot water and pyridine is added. Color as indicated in example r. The solution must be light green. Rinsing, acids and drying as under i.
