Legierungen aus Platinmetallen, die sich insbesondere für Federspitzen eignen. In unserem Patent 350703 haben wir eine Osmiumlegierung beschrieben, welche sich besonders für Federspitzen eignet und deren Hauptbestandteile (mehr als 70 Prozent) aus Osmium und der Rest aus anderen Platinmetallen besteht. Eingehende Versuche haben nun gezeigt, daß das Osmium zum großen Teil ersetzt werden kann durch Ruthen, ohne daß die besonderen Eigenschaften, die für den Gebrauch maßgebend sind, geändert werden. Es hat sich gezeigt, daß Legierungen, welche 4.o bis 6o Prozent Ruthen, 35 bis 5o Prozent Osmium und 5 bis 15 Prozent Platin enthalten, für den vorliegenden Zweck gut brauchbar sind. Selbstverständlich können diese Legierungen auch für andere Zwecke als für Federspitzen, z. B. für Kompaßpinnen u. dgl., Verwendung finden.Alloys made of platinum metals, which are particularly suitable for pen nibs.
