Der wieder ansteigende bzw. aufgesetzte Teil der Roststäbe ist mit Zacken oder Vorsprüngen versehen, welche dazu dienen, das in die Mulde gelangte Kraut wieder aufwärts zu schaffen, so daß es am rückwärtigen Ende des Rostes aus der Maschine geworfen wird. Die spezifisch schwereren Steine werden sich unten in der Mulde ansammeln, während die Kartoffeln obenauf zu liegen kommen.
