Die neue Hilfsvorrichtung hat auf ihrer Innenseite a, b (Abb.
3) die Gestalt des fertiggezwickten Schuhes. Die beiden auslaufenden Enden c und
d sind durch einen nach unten offenen Stahlbügel e verbunden, in dessen Mitte (höchster
Stelle) ein Bolzen f mit Kopf g in senkrechter Richtung durchgelassen ist. Am unteren
Ende des Bolzens ist ein etwa j mm starkes Eisenplättchen ha befestigt, das die
Gestalt des inneren, sichtbaren Teiles der Brandsohle hat und mit der Lippe abschließt.
Der Schaft des Bolzens ist an seinem übrigen freien Teil mit einer Druckfeder i

a, b des Drückers mit der Leistenkante abschließt und das untere Stahlpiättchen
h an die Brandsohlenlippe angedrückt
ist. Dann wird der Holzteil
k des Drückers von oben mit dem Handballen an das Leder angedrückt und das Leder
,dadurch an jeder Stelle festgehalten, im Gegensatz zu dem bisherigen Zustand, wo
nur ein Teil des Leders mit dem Daumen angezogen, also nicht die ganze Spitze zu
gleicher Zeit festgehalten werden konnte. Die sich hierdurch ergebenden Vorteile
in bezug auf leichtere Arbeit und genauere und schnellere Handhabung sind ohne weiteres
einleuchtend. Der Bock wird jetzt bis zur Leistenkante gehoben uni die Schere mit
dem Hebel bis zur Brandsohlenlippe hereingedrückt. Während dies geschieht, übt die
Feder i des Bolzens einen Druck nach unten auf das die Brandsohle haltende Plättchen
h aus, was ein Zusammenschieben der Brandsohle verhindert. Der Drücker ist nicht
