Description
Process for digesting sewage sludge in separate digesters with rinsing of the decaying sludge and periodic supply of fresh sewage sludge. In sludge digestion rooms, to which fresh sludge is fed from settling basins for processing the sludge treatment process is quickest and most thorough, if the content of the sludge digestion chamber before the mixture of fresh sludge and putrid Sludge from the degradation products excreted during the previous sludge digestion period is exempt. It must be noted that this is used to wash out the degradation products The water used is chemically and physically related to water, which is the main constituent of the digester contents in putrefaction. Of particular importance is also that the duration of the flushing can be regulated, d. H. that the for flushing amount of water to be used not suddenly, but in one, the respective state the period corresponding to the digestion process is fed in such a way that the flushing the 'septic tanks at different depths and in different directions possible is, so that as possible all parts of the sludge digester contents that are eligible for leaching come into contact with the flushing water.
The combination of the above listed, partially known aspects has not yet been used in any known method. That in the following The described procedure brings the perfect solution in the simplest form, which is shown for example in the drawing.
At least two container units are required to use the method required, of which the higher container I used as a thickening chamber for Fresh sludge and the lower-lying container II serves as a digestion chamber. The out The fresh sludge conveyed to the settling basin in container I remains in this until the wastewater and sludge are essentially separated from one another to have. A wastewater zone a is created in the upper part and a sludge zone in the lower part N. This is a well-known process in itself.
The novelty and technical advancement of the present invention are now in the fact that the located in the sewage zone a, from the thickened sludge separated waste water is not diverted, but as chemical and physical product related to the sludge in container II for rinsing out the container II, d. H. to remove the degradation products from sludge fermentation, before the digester is charged with fresh sludge, this is used Make the best preconditions for the subsequent flushing To create a mixing process between fresh sludge and digested sludge. To this end the sludge water from the wastewater zone a of the container I is through a suitable Device without agitation of the sludge zone w by means of an adjustable shut-off device O1, 02 taken from equipped lead. By setting the shut-off devices accordingly o can be the length of time; in which the discharge of the waste water into the container II takes place, d. H. the flushing time, according to the progress of the sludge treatment in container II- arbitrarily regulated, d. H. be extended or shortened. While the inflow of the flushing water from container I to container II flows that of the supplied Amount of flushing water corresponding amount of digested water enriched with degradation products in the same period of time through suitable drainage elements r from container II. the Loading device can be set up so that the flushing = water alternately at different opposing places in the septic tank from Container II is initiated, with the removal of the displaced digester contents takes place on the opposite side. The loading devices can as well as the removal devices, furthermore be designed telescopically in such a way, that the supply and removal in the same or different depths of the container II can be done at will.
Is the flushing of the digester completed and is therefore the best Precondition for the mixing of the fresh sludge still in container I. created with the digested sludge of the container II, the charging of the Container II with the fresh sludge stored in container I in zone N. the The fresh sludge is expediently fed into the digester through the same Lines through which the flushing water is supplied. she can also be in any adjustable depth and adjustable amount in any Periods take place through the telescopic loading organs. With the supply of the fresh sludge is a further rinsing of the container II connected that one of the supplied fresh sludge amount corresponding amount of septic tank water is derived through the discharge organs r1 and r2.
The best way to apply the method is that the movement of water in container II during flushing is effected in the opposite sense as when charging fresh sludge, that is, when the first part of a work process, i.e. flushing, is approximately in the direction of v ,. after r2, the shut-off element of r1 remains closed, while in the second part of the process, i.e. the mixture with fresh sludge, the latter is fed through the feed element v2 with the shut-off element r2 closed, so that the water movement - when the displaced Water in the direction from v2 to r. takes place.
The way the procedure is carried out is just like the number and shape the container, .the beckoning and removal devices _ as well as .the shut-off devices any. The drawing shows only one embodiment.
