Description

Pesticides. In further elaboration of the patent 433653 has been found to be of particular advantage as a pesticide can use halogenated naphthenic acids or their salts. Own one hand the halogenated naphthenic acids or their salts are much less intense Smell than the naphthenic acids themselves, on the other hand they also have the property to damage the plant parts less; on the other hand are the insecticidal properties of the halogenated naphtha sates are even higher than those of the common ones Naphthenic acids. The halogenated naphthenic acids and their salts can expediently be used not only on its own, but also in a mixture with other substances, which the insecticidal properties of the same-still increase, use. For example you can chloronaphthenic acid sodium in particular with hydrocarbons or the Halogen substitution products of the same, also basic substances, such as. B. aniline and its substitution products, or aromatic nitro compounds. such as nitrobenzene, mix. When using these mixtures results the advantage that the halo-naphthenic acid salt is also excellent at the same time Emulsifying agent acts so that when dissolving a mixture of for example 80 parts of sodium dichloronaphthenic acid and 50 parts of solvent naphtha in ro liters Water a good solution or emulsion of the agent is achieved. This solution or Emulsion is suitable for spraying parts of plants and pests all kinds, especially those of the aphid type, cabbage and tree whitefish, Gold oyster caterpillars, etc., are infested.
