Die erfindungsgemäße Zerspanungsflüssigkeit unterliegt nicht der Bildung von Bakterien, Hefen und Pilzen, es besteht keine Wassergefährdung (WGK 0) und eine gute biologische Abbaubarkeit (ca. 70% in 21 Tagen). Die erfin­ dungsgemäße Zerspanungsflüssigkeit ist ferner physiologisch unbedenklich. Die Toxizität der Aerosole ist unbedenklich und es entstehen keine gesundheitsschädlichen thermischen Zersetzungsprodukte. Es besteht ferner eine optimale Schwe­ rentflammbarkeit. Damit eignet sich die erfindungsgemäße Zerspanungsflüssigkeit überraschend gut für den Einsatz in zerspanenden Werkzeugmaschinen. Hierbei ist lediglich zu beachten, daß die mit ihr in Berührung kommenden Maschinen- und Anlagenteile Wasser-glykol-beständig sind.
