Filter, insbesondere Ölfilter mit einem auswechselbaren Ringfilterelement, einem Filtertopf mit jeweils einer unten liegenden Zulauf-, Ablauf- und Leerlauföffnung, einem aufsetzbaren Deckel und einem die Leerlauföffnung verschließenden Ablaßventil, das bei zumindest teilwei­ se gelöstem Deckel unter Federkraft geöffnet ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß ein zwischen Ablaßventil (9) und Deckel (3) radial außerhalb des Filterelementes (4) liegendes Kraftüber­ tragungsmittel (5) bei der Montage des Deckels (3) durch direkte Anlage an dem Deckel (3) und dem Ablaß­ ventil (9) das Ablaßventil (9) schließt.1.
