Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for direct one coupling of a main light source, preferably halo gene or xenon lamp, emitted light into a fiber optic table light guide bundle, the individual light guide to a display device, especially Ver traffic signs in road traffic or for railway systems.
From EP 0 459 090 A1 a device for the broadest going independently maintaining the continuity of the Be driving state of light signal or similar lighting systems even if the lamp currently in operation fails known, the individual filament either one Reflector with an electric in its focal point Have lamp and assigned lens or or individual light guides or bundles of light guides from each lead light source to the signal point. An assembly each filament with a plurality of lamps the same and / or different performance and an assignment one immediately effective in the event of lamp failure the mechanism for activating one of these Filament stored unused lamp is in front act. Furthermore, one is for the light guide arrangement switching mechanism provided with a deflecting mirror to couple the light beam one of the un used light sources provided in the light guide. The disadvantage is that each lamp is equipped pers with a plurality of lamps to a very expensive other and burdened with relatively high costs order.
The invention has for its object a Vorrich tion of the type mentioned at the outset Failure of the main light source an immediate continuation operation with technically relatively inexpensive Aids is ensured.
The object is achieved in that a if the main light source fails, the secondary light can be switched on Source is provided, the output light beam by means of of a deflecting mirror can be coupled into the light guide bundle is.
An advantage of the invention is that the deflection mirror only when operating the secondary light source in the beam path of the on the light guide of the fiber optic light guide dels incident light beam is located, so that during operation the main light source is the one emitted by this source Beams of light directly into the fiber optic fiber bundle is coupled. The coupling can be advantageous in less than 20 m sec.
Embodiments of the invention are in the subclaims 2 to 6 described.
In the drawing is an embodiment according to the Er shown.
To couple one of a main light source 1 , for example a halogen or xenon lamp into a fiber-optic light guide bundle 2 , the individual light guides of which are guided to a display device (not shown in the drawing) for displaying preferably alphanumeric characters, the main light source 1 and the light guide bundle 2 on two opposite translucent outer surfaces, that is, for example, provided with openings on the outer surfaces of a cuboid hollow body 3 so mechanically attached that their optical axes are aligned. On a further translucent outer surface of the Hohlkör pers 3 , a secondary light source 4 is attached, for example, at an angle of 90 ° to the main light source 1 and to the fiber optic light guide bundle 2 . Within the hollow body 3 , a deflecting mirror 5 is arranged by means of a rotary joint 6 , which together with a trigger magnet 7 forms a folding mechanism. When the main light source 1 is in operation, the deflecting mirror 5 is in the folded state in front of the secondary light source 4 (fully awarded mirror), so that the output light beam from the main light source 1 falls directly onto the light incidence side of the light guide bundle 2 . If the main light source 1 fails due to a defect, the secondary light source 4 is automatically switched on and the trigger magnet 7 is actuated at the same time. The steering mirror 5 then folds out of its rest position from the secondary light source 4 into its extended position (dashed mirror 5 a), which is determined by a mechanical stop 8 that positions the deflecting mirror 5 and which is at an angle of 45 ° to the secondary light source 4 and fiber optic light guide bundle 2 runs. Thus, if the main light source 1 fails, the fiber optic light conductor bundle 2 is illuminated by the secondary light source 4 via the deflecting mirror 5 . After eliminating the defect of the main light source 1 , for example after replacing the same, the secondary light source 4 is switched off and the deflecting gel 5 is folded back into its resting position in front of the secondary light source 4 , so that again a direct illumination of the fiber optic light guide bundle 2 by the main light source 1 can be done. The reset can be carried out manually or automatically.
