Abstract
Description
In recent times, ever larger amounts of have been mixed thermoplastic waste plastics collected. A meanwhile accepted process for recycling these thermoplastic Fixed-bed pressure gasification is plastics. Usually will used coal briquettes, but it has been shown that plastics can also be added. For recovery these plastics into briquettes of a size similar to that of coal briquettes are processed. When gasifying the coal and Plastic briquettes can contain a certain amount of additives like e.g. B. organic or inorganic impurities, or clarifying or color sludge are added. The additives are said to however, be well mixed with the other briquettes.
For briquetting mixed thermoplastic old art substances usually have to be crushed and heated the. According to the state of the art, the mixed old art shredded materials with mills or shredders so that they Screw presses can be heated to a temperature at who processed them into briquettes in the subsequent briquetting process can be tet. This means two to three steps until the old plastics are in a briquettable form. It has also been shown that additives on organic or inorganic base contained in the old plastics or stick to the old plastics, to great wear the shredders, the mills and the screw presses. To additionally added additives such as powdered substances, for. B. Sewage or color sludge are so wear-promoting that one Processing together with the plastics is no longer economical is. Additives that contain a large amount of water, must be dried beforehand. These difficulties are using the method and the device for manufacturing of briquettes made of thermoplastic materials with a share bypassed by organic and inorganic additives.
The waste plastics are shredded in one operation and heated to a temperature at which they are briquetted can. Due to the simple construction, the wear and tear the effort is significantly minimized. They can be particularly easy Additives to be heated with. You can also in dry and liquid form can be added. It will be a rie capable agglomerate that simply turned into a mold fills and can be pressed into briquettes.
Fig. 1 shows the system with which the briquettes are made who the. About the feed chute ( 1 ) the unreduced waste plastics, which, for. B. consist of bottles, containers, mugs, foils, plates or housings, entered in the agglomerator ( 2 ) and nert and heated by very fast-running knives ( 3 ). The rotating materials are held by stators ( 4 ) on the walls of the agglomerator ( 2 ). The old plastics can be additives such. B. contain organic or inorganic contaminants or smaller metal parts. These additives or also sewage and color sludges that are dry or with a small amount of water can also be added. They are shredded and heated with the old plastics.
Um ein für die Brikettierung rieselfähiges, heißes Agglomerat zu erhalten, gibt es zwei Wege:To a hot agglomerate that is free-flowing for briquetting there are two ways:
By checking the amount in the agglomerator ( 2 ) and by measuring the current ( 5 ) of the motor ( 6 ) and measuring the temperature ( 6 ) of the substances in the agglomerator ( 2 ), the point in time can be found very precisely, in which the plastics have been shredded but not yet melted together to a large extent, i.e. are still in the free-flowing state. They have a temperature at which they can melt together under pressure. You will then be ejected immediately through the ejection flap ( 8 ).
By checking the current ( 4 ) of the motor ( 5 ) or by checking the temperature (7) of the substances in the agglomerator, these substances are crushed and heated to a temperature at which they melt together to form larger lumps . By adding water he stares at this melt compound and at the same time is smashed by the still rotating knives. This process, the addition of water and simultaneous smashing, has been used for many years in similar machines, which, however, only process plastics of one type with little or no addition of additives. In the patent documents DE-AS 10 54 073, DE-PS 16 78 834, DE-AS 24 32 861, DE-OS 28 38 642, DE-AS 28 39 446, DE-OS 29 29 664 and DE-OS 29 44 896 deals with this procedure. What is new, however, is that the water also contains additives in liquid form, such as. B. sewage and color sludge can also be added. They mix with the old plastics and the remaining additives. If the substances are crushed in the agglomerator, which in turn is controlled by the current ( 5 ) of the motor ( 6 ), they are expelled through the discharge flap ( 8 ). The agglomerator ( 2 ) is now immediately refilled through the feed chute ( 1 ).
The free-flowing agglomerate is then freed from larger parts in a sieve ( 9 ). These are returned through the return line ( 10 ) to the agglomerator and further crushed there. The sieved agglomerate is then conveyed to the briquetting press in a chute ( 11 ) which vibrates. Here one or more molds are filled with the agglomerate ( 12 ). The mold or molds are moved into a press ( 13 ), where the still hot agglomerate is pressed into the briquettes. These bri chains are expelled hot onto the base plate ( 14 ) and conveyed further on a sieve vibrating conveyor ( 15 ). Parts falling off the briquettes are thus returned via a return ( 17 ) to the agglomerator ( 2 ) and heated again. The briquettes are conveyed from the sieve shaker conveyor belt ( 15 ) to a cooling belt ( 16 ), where they can cool down for further transport.
Two examples are to illustrate this procedure and the necessary one Clarify device.
A mixture of thermoplastic plastics, which, for. B. from 40 weight percent polyethylene (PE), 20% polystyrene (PS), 20% plypropylene (PP), 4% polyvinyl chloride (PVC), 3% polyamide (PA), 2% polyethylene terephalate, 3% metals, 3% dry organic or inorganic impurities and 6% water, is filled uncrushed into the agglomerator ( 2 ). A characteristic temperature of approx. 165 ° C and a current consumption of the motor of approx. 150 A are achieved during the shredding process. At these values, the materials are warmed and crushed to such an extent that they are free-flowing and can be further processed in the briquetting press. They are ejected ( 8 ) and sorted out in the sieve ( 9 ) to a size smaller than 20 mm. The sorted out agglomerate is immediately conveyed via a chute ( 11 ) into the filling station ( 12 ) of the press. In the pressing station ( 13 ) the agglomerate is compressed by a factor of 2.5 and pressed into briquettes with a size of approx. 40 × 40 × 40 mm. 50 briquettes are pressed at once, with each briquette mold being compressed individually. This is probably due to a different bulk density in the individual shapes, a different volume of the briquettes. However, due to the common, equally high pressing force, they have the same density, which is important for gasification, and high strength. These cube-shaped briquettes are ejected downwards ( 14 ) and conveyed on via a sieve belt ( 15 ) and a cooling belt ( 16 ). The plastics are now available together with the additives in compact, high-density briquettes that can be easily recycled by gasification.
Another example is the procedure and the necessary to clarify the following devices:
A mixture of thermoplastic plastics, which, for. B. from 40 weight percent polyethylene (PE), 20% polystyrene (PS), 20% plypropylene (PP), 4% polyvinyl chloride (PVC), 3% polyamide (PA), 2% polyethylene terephalate, 3% metals, 3% dry organic or inorganic impurities and 6% water, is filled uncrushed into the agglomerator ( 2 ). A characteristic temperature of approx. 170 ° C and a current consumption of the motor of 160 A are achieved during the shredding process. The thermoplastic materials in the agglomerator sometimes clump together. By adding water, which is based on the mass of the substances already in the agglomera tor about 20% by weight sewage sludge, the melt composites are dissolved again and the thermoplastic materials are crushed so much that this results in a free-flowing agglomerate. As the added water evaporates, the sewage sludge is finely distributed in the agglomerate. This is then discharged through the discharge opening ( 8 ). The following processing for the briquettes is the same as in the first example. This produces briquettes that contain 20% sewage sludge. On the one hand, this has the advantage that the strength of the briquettes is increased, on the other hand, the sewage sludge is better gasified by the fine distribution in the briquettes.
