Dies führt zu entsprechenden Formtoleranzen beim Hinterschäumen, so daß bei der Fertigung vermehrt Ausschußteile erzeugt werden. Eine Möglichkeit, derartige Verspannungen des Werkstückes im Werk­ zeugteil zu verhindern, besteht in der Nachbearbeitung des das Werkstück herstellenden Werkzeuges, sofern die Abweichungen ständig gleich ausfallen. Ferner sind nur noch die Abstütz­ punkte maßlich zu überwachen, wodurch sich der Kontrollaufwand bezüglich der Abmessungen der Werkzeugkonturen wesentlich ver­ ringert.   • - mit einem das platten- oder schalenförmige Werkstück ent­ lang dessen schaumabgekehrter Seite formschlüssig und lagedefi­ niert aufnehmenden ersten Werkzeugteil, in welchem das platten- oder schalenförmige Werkstück entlang des gesamten zu hinterschäumenden Bereiches in einer den Schäumdruck auffangen­ den Weise rückseitig, d. h. auf der schaumabgewandten Seite ab­ gestützt ist und
  • - mit einem zweiten Werkzeugteil, welches mit der schaumzuge­ kehrten Seite des platten- oder schalenförmigen Werkstückes den Schäumraum bildet,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet,
    daß das platten- oder schalenförmige Werkstück (5) im ersten Werkzeugteil (2) eine rückseitige Abstützung besitzt, die darin besteht, daß das Werkstück (5) aufgrund von Aussparungen (10) im ersten Werkzeugteil (2) darin nur noch an für seine Lagede­ finition und spätere Montage wichtigen, wenigen Stellen punktu­ ell mechanisch und in den dazwischenliegenden Bereichen mittels einer die Aussparungen (10) jeweils dichtend überspannenden, dem Werkstück (5) formangepaßten Membran (12) fluidisch abge­ stützt ist, wobei in den durch die Aussparungen (10) und die Membran (12) gebildeten Abstütztaschen (13) ein Abstützdruck einsteuerbar ist, der mit dem gerade herrschenden Schäumdruck übereinstimmt.
