Die auf beiliegender Zeichnung dargestellte Maschine bezweckt die Herstellung einer Kette, welche in Fig. 12 in gröfserem Mafsstabe gezeichnet ist, und bei welcher die Glieder abwechselnd durch Hohlkugeln und Metallstäbchen gebildet werden. Das Arbeitsverfahren ist derart, dafs zwischen die Walzen W0 W0, Fig. ι bis 3, ein Messingdraht von der Dicke d, Fig. 4, geschoben wird, der bei der eigenartigen Gestaltung der Walzen W0 die in Fig. 5 gezeichnete Form erhält. Bei 2 in Fig. ι tritt dieser Draht in das Zieheisen Z am Bock t, und es wird in dasselbe aufserdem ein Messingblechstreifen eingeführt, der sich zu einem unten mit Naht versehenen Röhrchen zusammenzieht; dasselbe umschliefst den Draht.The purpose of the machine shown in the accompanying drawing is to produce a chain, which is drawn on a larger scale in FIG. 12, and in which the links are formed alternately by hollow balls and metal rods.
