Description

Anordnung für Gleichrichter, bei denen der wirksame Kathodenspiegel durch einen Zylinder aus schwer schmelzbarem Material begrenzt und die den Zylinder umgebende unwirksame Randzone quecksilberdurchlässig abgedeckt ist. Zusatz zum Patent 411971. Das Patent 411971 betrifft eine Anordnung für Gleichrichter, bei der die unwirksame Zone des Kathodenspiegels quecksilberdurchlässig abgedeckt ist. Insbesondere kann gemäß dem Patent in die Kathode ein Zylinder aus schwer schmelzbarem Isoliermaterial eingesetzt sein. Dieser grenzt--einerseits den Lichtbogen ab, anderseits gibt er ihm die geeignete Richtung, so daß auch bei sehr geringen Belastungen der Lichtbogen erhalten bleibt. Der Erfindung gemäß wird jene Anordnung derart weiter ausgebildet, daß die Abdeckung der unwirksamen Randzone des Kathodenspiegels (Netze, Siebe o. dgl.) dazu dient; den Begrenzungszylinder in seiner Lage zu sichern. Es kann dies derart . geschehen, daß die Abdeckung der Randzone den Zylinder an einer seitlichen Verrückung, zumal beim Transport, sichert. Die Abdeckungsvorrichtung kann aber auch mit dem Zylinder fest verbunden werden, derart, daß besondere Befestigungsteile für den Zylinder ganz entfallen oder auch schwächer als seither üblich ausgeführt werden können.
