Die Vorrichtung besteht aus zwei Körpern a, welche sich den beiden Nasenöffnungen in ihrer Form möglichst anpassen. Dieselben sind aus einem porösen und wärmehaltenden Material, wie Ton o. dgl., angefertigt. Die zwei. porösen Körper werden mit einem desinfizierenden Medikament durchtränkt, bevor sie in Gebrauch genommen werden, damit durch dasselbe bei der Nasenatmung eindringende Infektionskeime unschädlich gemacht werden. Ferner vermindern die beiden porösen und gleichzeitig wärmehaltenden Körper bei der Nasenatmung die Einwirkung von Kälte oder kältender Nässe auch auf die Nasenschleimhäute. Das Äußere dieser beiden porösen und gleichzeitig wärmehaltenden Körper hat glatte Wandungen (Abb. r). Das Innere derselben ist mit Luftkanälen versehen (Abb. z). Diese Luftkanäle verjüngen sich von unten nach oben und besitzen rauhe, spitze, zickzackartige Wandungen (Abb. 3). Die zickzackartigen Spitzen weisen aufnahmebereit nach den unteren Luftkanalöffnungen der beiden Körper hin und nehmen Staub und infektiöse Unreinigkeiten beim Durchstreichen der Luft durch diese Luftkanäle während der Nasenatmung auf und .halten dieselben fest (Abb. 3). Am unteren Teile der beiden Körper, ringsherum um dieselben und seitlich nach unten zu, befinden sich eingelassene Rinnen a' zur Aufnahme und Befestigung der beiden Körper in einem Gestell mit leicht federndem Bügel (Abb. q.), welches die beiden Körper zu einem Ganzen vereinigt (Abb.5); diese ein. fache Schutzvorrichtung kann unsichtbar in den beiden Nasenöffnungen getragen und leicht entfernt werden.
