The invention relates to a socket for interchangeable mouth and nose protection and a protective mask.

Protective masks are known from the prior art, which on the one hand serve to protect third parties, but also enable self-protection with a corresponding construction. The global SARS-CoV 2 pandemic that became known in 2020 made everyday masks known, which cover the nose and mouth area in particular and range from simple scarves to more technically complex models. These masks are used to reduce the risk of a droplet infection through coughing, that is, by making it difficult to cough up another person, that is, a “counterpart”. It is therefore an object of the present invention to improve protection in general, to make it more flexible and also to make it more hygienic.
