PATENTANSPRÜCHE

PATENT CLAIMS
1. nose plug, conical, with bilateral end screens (3, 5), characterized in that it has an inner cavity (6) which can be filled with gas-adsorbing granules.
2. nasal plug according to claim 1, characterized in that it is a convex conical body of revolution and it can thus be inserted into the nostril until the thicker part adapts to the nostril.
3. nasal plug according to claim 1, characterized in that it has air-permeable, non-protruding sieves (3, 5) on both sides, the mesh size of which is selected such that coarse dust particles are separated.
The invention relates to a conically shaped nasal plug with a cavity, and bilateral end screens, which can be filled with various types of gas-adsorbing granules.
The shape of the nasal plug is selected so that it can be easily inserted into the human nostril by rotating it. The nose plug is conical and the line 1 between the narrowest and the widest part is arched. The plug, with the narrow part first, can be inserted into the nostril until the widening part of the plug adapts to the nostril. During use, a plug is fitted in each wing of the nose. When the mouth is closed, this ensures that the two nasal plugs completely take in the breath. Then exhale through the mouth.
The nose plug 1, 2 shown in the drawing consists of a solid, thin-walled main part 4, which encloses the largest possible cavity 6. At both ends, i.e. on the wider air inlet opening and on the narrower air outlet opening, there are two screens 3, 5 of different sizes, not protruding. The mesh size of the screens 3, 5 is selected so that good air permeability is ensured, and nevertheless coarse dust particles are separated. The cavity 6 is filled with highly active, gas-adsorbing granules or their mixtures (longitudinal section 7). The grain size of the granules is selected so that the largest possible gas-adsorbing surface is available and nevertheless good air permeability is ensured.
The overall product achieved in this way is used primarily in the fight against traffic emissions and thus contributes significantly to the protection of human respiratory organs.
One advantage is that the nose plugs, which are exposed to critical exhaust gas areas, can be applied quickly and individually.
The invention is not restricted to the exemplary embodiment shown. The main part 4 can be longer, shorter, larger, smaller or rounder in design. It can consist of different materials.
Likewise, the sieve 3 could be removable and then plugged in again, which would enable the granules to be replaced several times.
Two nasal plugs can also be connected to one another, or can be connected, and can thus be used.
