Beim Transport der rohen (sogenannten grünen) Braunkohle zu den Trockenapparaten, der durchweg fast nur mittels Transportbänder bewirkt wird, zeigt sich häufig der große Mißstand, daß, sobald die Kohle einen bestimmten Feuchtigkeitsgrad überschreitet, sie anfängt, eine teigartige Masse zu bilden, welche sich am Eingang in die Röhren der Röhrentrockner mehr oder weniger festsetzt und sich dann nicht mehr ordnungsgemäß fortbewegt, so daß nicht nur unangenehme Störungen des Betriebes entstehen, sondern auch die Leistungsfähigkeit der Anlage schwer beeinträchtigt wird.
