Description

Process for the production of acidic sodium formates. According to the invention the production of acidic sodium formates with different acid contents succeeds in a surprisingly simple manner by introducing sodium formate in aqueous Formic acid.

When practicing the invention, one can e.g. B. proceed in such a way that one in aqueous formic acid, the formic acid content of which is more than 20 percent must, technical \ atriuinformiat, if necessary with heating, enters. -At When the mixture cools down to room temperature, the acidic formates separate into Form well-formed crystals, which by simple centrifugation from the l Feed liquor can be separated.

If one assumes a formic acid, its content of formic acid is less than 50 percent, a trisodium hydroformate Na "H (HCOO) 4 is obtained, while when processing acids that contain more than 50 percent formic acid, obtained either N atriuinbiformiat or a mixture of the two acidic formates will.

The trisodium hydroformate can, as has been found, in the simplest way Way, e.g. B. by simply shaking with an aqueous formic acid of the appropriate Concentration, e.g. B. one of about Oo percent, converted into sodium bicarbonate will. Examples. 1. 100 kg of 50 percent formic acid are mixed with 100 kg of technical Sodium formate stirred together. -After cooling the reaction mixture to ordinary Temperature can be achieved by separating 16o kg of trisodium hydroformate from the mother liquor be won. The mother liquor, which is saturated with sodium formate, is about 30 percent formic acid can be further processed depending on the desired purpose be e.g. B. after adding a stronger acid to the approach of a new mixture.

z. 1 io kg Natriumforiniat (technisch) «-erden in ioo kg 80prozentige Ameisensäure eingerührt. -After the mixture has cooled down, you can use the ordinary Temperature 11.4 kg Natriuinbiforiniat can be obtained by centrifugation. The 'mother liquor consists of an ethyl, above all 65 percent formic acid saturated with sodium formate and can be used for the direct representation of Tr inatriumlivtIroformiat or after addition a stronger formic acid used to re-produce sodium carbonate will.

3. 125 kg Trinatriumlivdroforiniat werden in ioo kg etwa ; 5prozentige Ameisensäure eingerührt. Es können in ähnlicher Weise, wie oben, 114 kg Natritunliiforiuiat gewonnen werden.3. 125 kg of trisodium livdroforiniat are approximately 100 kg; 5 percent Formic acid stirred in. In a similar way as above, 114 kg of natritunliiforiuiat can be used be won.
