Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method of manufacture cement using decontaminated asbestos ment.
Asbestos cement has been an inexpensive plant for many years fabric in the construction industry, e.g. B. as cladding material and processed as roofing material. It was in hydraulic engineering used for pipes, as steam traps in power plants Cooling towers. While it is desirable, this is health related dispose of problematic material; however, it is difficult the huge amount (estimated at 25 million tons Asbestos cement in Germany).
The object of the present invention is a technical feasible procedure specifying the reuse processing of asbestos cement without waste products being deposited must be renated. This task is accomplished by the present Invention solved. The method of manufacture according to the invention setting of cement that can be set while mixing the raw materials to a raw material mixture and burning of the raw materials characterized in that the raw materials are partially or completely dig by decontaminated asbestos cement as an additive sets, the decontaminated asbestos cement by treatment of asbestos cement with a fluorine-containing inorganic Acid as a decomposing agent, optionally separating what ser, was obtained from the resulting mixture.
Examples of acids which can be used are hydrogen fluoride, hexafluorosilicic acid or tetrafluoroboric acid and mixtures thereof. The acidic salt used can be, for example, ammonium, sodium or potassium salts of the acids mentioned, for example ammonium, sodium or potassium hydrogen fluoride. If desired, the asbestos cement can be decontaminated with disintegrants present in pure form, optionally with heating. For example, you can mix the asbestos cement with ammonium hydrogen fluoride and heat it. It is preferable to start from aqueous solutions of the fluorine-containing inorganic acids or from aqueous solutions of an acid salt of a fluorine-containing inorganic acid. Hydrofluoric acid, hexafluorosilicic acid or a mixture of the two, in particular in the form of aqueous solutions, is preferably used. A particularly good effect is achieved with aqueous solutions containing 10 to 40% by weight of the disintegrant. It is advisable to convert the asbestos cement into smaller particles, e.g. B. by shredding and grinding. It is advisable to neutralize the unused decomposing agent with lime (CaO, Ca (OH) 2 or CaCO 3 ) or with lime milk and separate water, for example in a chamber filter press. A preferred embodiment of the invention is therefore characterized in that the decontaminated asbestos cement by treating crushed asbestos cement with an aqueous solution of a fluorine-containing inorganic acid or an aqueous solution of an acidic salt of a fluorine-containing inorganic acid, neutralization of the resulting mixture with lime or lime milk and optionally separating water has been obtained.
The raw material mixture (usual raw materials such as limestone, Clay, lime marl, clay marl and. a. can be used) one decontaminated asbestos in more or less large Add quantity. In extreme cases, the decontaminated asbestos cement is the only raw material to be placed in the cement kiln; in this case the entire raw material is through the decontami replaced asbestos cement. The raw material advantageously contains mixture before firing 3 to 100 wt .-%, based on the Dry matter, of decontaminated asbestos cement. Self ver the key figures of the raw materials (lime standard, Set the silicate module and clay module) as required.
The mixture is then burned in the usual manner, such as usual at temperatures up to 1,500 ° C.
It is an advantage of the invention that asbestos cement, which would otherwise have to be deposited under increased security conditions, serves as a source of raw material and residue-free processing to new, high-quality cement products is guaranteed. Natural resources are therefore protected. For example, asbestos-containing fiber cement panels, such as Eternit panels, can be converted into asbestos-free fiber cement panels according to the invention via the production of asbestos-free fiber cement and molding. In addition, it has been found that adding the asbestos cement decontaminated by means of the specified decomposing agent produces a raw material or a raw material mixture which has a reduced sintering temperature. The energy costs of cement burning can therefore be reduced. Such an advantageous raw material mixture for producing cement is also the subject of the invention. The raw material mixture according to the invention for the production of cement contains conventional raw materials providing CaO, SiO 2 , Al 2 O 3 and Fe 2 O 3 , is characterized by a content of, by contacting asbestos cement with a fluorine-containing inorganic acid or an acidic salt Fluorine-containing inorganic acid, it contains decontaminated asbestos cement.
A particularly preferred mixture of raw materials is known characterized by a content of 3 to 99% by weight of the decontami asbestos cement, in particular 50 to 99% by weight. Rest on 100% by weight are common raw materials such as marl, clay marl and lime stone, clay, possibly water and. a.
The following example is intended to explain the invention further, without restricting their scope.
Das Brennen erfolgte bei einer Tem peratur von 940°C.10 kg asbestos cement (90 wt .-% hydrated cement) was shredded and to a particle size of maximum 0.5 mm ground. The asbestos cement was then treated with 5 l of a 20% by weight HF containing aqueous hydrofluoric acid solution contacted. To The resulting reaction mixture was treated under Ver put neutralized with milk of lime. The resulting suspension (a pulpy mass) of cement and calcium fluoride became direct placed in the cement kiln. The firing was at a tem temperature of 940 ° C.
