Diese Vorrichtung zur Regelung des Druckes von Gasen aller Art zeichnet sich vor ähnlichen Vorrichtungen darin aus, dafs die Empfindlichkeit gegen Druckschwankungen sehr grofs ist, dafs ferner der Druck mit grofser Leichtigkeit verstellt und auf jede beliebige Höhe eingestellt werden kann, und dafs der einmal eingestellte Druck stets dieselbe Gröfse behält, da Federn und solche elastischen Körper, welche mit der Zeit ihre Elasticität einbüfsen, hier nicht verwendet werden. Als besonderer Vorzug ist noch die sichere Führung des Ventils und die einfache Construction hervorzuheben. Der Kolben läfst sich mittelst Gewindes und eines Handrädchens F mehr oder weniger tief in die Kammer A hineindrücken. Eine Mutter H verhütet das unbeabsichtigte Verstellen des Kolbens.
