Avoiding the formation of horns in the production of zinc white. if

Experience has shown that the air inlet burns from the outlet opening (the "flame hole")
Approaches that grow into tube-like structures ("horns"). It educates
first a lip or bowl-shaped approach on the underside of the flame hole,
which changes in a relatively short time - presumably through the interaction of condensation
and oxidation - added to the hollow body around the flaming plate, then
in the direction of flow of the zinliz vapors in various forms and extensively in front
and gradually overgrows, unless timely rejection is taken care of
will. The constant pushing off requires expensive and laborious manual labor.
The waste also significantly reduces the application of zinc white
and must be processed in special procedures.
These drawbacks become more effective and practical according to the invention
completely eliminated by the fact that a stream of gas hindering the oxidation
(Gas) is brought to the edge of the Abflammlioches. As a retarding the oxidation
Gases (protective gases) come for this purpose, for example generator gases (from coke gas generators),
Coke oven gas or other flammable gases or gas mixtures that are exposed to air can be considered
and burn with a reducing flame if the air mixture is restricted accordingly.
It is essential that the gas flow is fed in in such a way that it exits
the tin vapors from the vaporizer are not prevented.
bewirkt. To achieve the described effect, one is sufficient

Condensation of zinc on the edge of the opening would therefore also occur when applied
