Glühkathode für Röntgenröhren. Bei Röntgenröhren zur Bestrahlung von
Krankheitsherden verwendet man im allgemeinen nicht einen so scharfen Brennfleck
wie bei Röntgenröhren zur Durchleuchtung von Körperteilen; denn einerseits ist das
hierbei nicht nötig und anderseits ist die Vergrößerung des Brennflecks erwünscht,
um eine allzu starke Erhitzung und daraus folgende Aufrauhung der Antikathode zu
vermeiden. Als besonders zweckmäßig hat sich ein ringförmiger Brennfleck ergeben.
Dieser ist deshalb günstiger als ein kreisförmiger, weil bei letzterem sich die
in der Mitte des Brennfleckes entwickelte Wärme schlecht nach außen abführen läßt.
Um einen ringförmigen Brennfleck zu erzielen, hat man vorgeschlagen, in der Mitte
einer ebenen oder schwach kegelförmigen Glühspirale einen hervorstehenden Stift
anzuordnen, so daß von der Kathode ein ringförmiges Strahlenbündel ausgesandt wird.
Im Anfang ist eine derartige Anordnung brauchbar. Nach längerer Betriebsdauer hängt
indessen die nur innen und außen befestigte Glühspirale mehr oder weniger durch,
so daß der Brennfleck Laicht überall gleichmäßig von den Elektronen getroffen wird
und infolgedessen eine stellenweise zu starke Erhitzung der Antikathode auftritt.Hot cathode for X-ray tubes. In the case of X-ray tubes for the irradiation of
