Apparaten.Apparatus.
In der Patentschrift No. 29705 ist der daselbst beschriebene und abgebildete Excentermechanismus zur zwangläufigen Steuerung eines Ventils oder zweier an den Enden des Cylinders befindlichen Einlafsventile in Verbindung mit einem Regulator als geschlossenes Ganzes dargestellt. Bei der Einwirkung des Mechanismus auf zwei Ventile geht die Bewegung desselben parallel der Cylinderachse vor sich. Es können aber auch die beiden Excentermechanismen auf einer parallel der Cylinderachse gehenden Welle montirt werden, so dafs deren Bewegung und Einwirkung auf die Einlafsventile der Dampfmaschine in einer zur Cylinderachse senkrechten Ebene stattfindet. Auch in diesem Falle ist eine Vereinigung des Mechanismus mit dem Regulator zu einem Ganzen durchführbar. Die Zeichnung stellt ferner eine andere Ausführung der Construction dar, die im Ersatz des im Haupt-Patent dargestellten Ausschubgliedes durch ein Paar Gegenhebel besteht. An den Zapfen des Gegenlenkers t (s. Fig. 1 und Schnitt C-B) ist ein Glied angeschlossen, welches im Punkt e mit dem Hebel h drehbar verbunden ist. Die Zeichnung stellt den Moment der Eröffnung des Ventils dar. Bei einer weiteren Drehung des Excenters in der Richtung des eingezeichneten Pfeiles wird der Hebel k vom Hebel h nach links durchgedrückt, wodurch mittelst der angedeuteten Hebelverbindung / w das Ventil geöffnet wird. Sobald dasselbe zum Schlufs gelangt ist, erfolgt die rückläufige (passive) Bewegung des Mechanismus, wobei sich Hebel h vom Hebel k ablöst und so lange aufser Berührung bleibt, bis wieder der Anhub des Ventils erfolgt. Die Excenterstütze t c (s.
