Zusatz zum Patent 392084. Addendum to patent 392084.
Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 22. August 1924 ab. Längste Dauer: 6. März 1941.Patented in the German Empire on August 22, 1924. Longest duration: March 6, 1941.
The invention relates to an improvement in the method for producing metal sponges according to patent 392084 and aims to make the sponge voluminous and yet S particularly elastic.
Auf der Zeichnung ist die Herstellung des Schwammes veranschaulicht, und zwar zeigtIn the drawing, the manufacture of the sponge is illustrated, namely shows
Abb.
Fig. Ι the piece of tubing from which the filling is made.
Fig. 2 shows the wrapped filling.
Abb. 3 ist der Überzug.Fig 3 is the coating.
Fig. 5 shows the finished sponge in cross section.
Fig. 4 shows how the filling is in the cover.
Als Überzug, also als Hülle, nimmt man ein Schlauchstück aus zäherem, widerstandsfähigem Material, welches auch anderes Metall sein kann, und dieses Überzugschlauchstück wird in derThe method of manufacture differs from that according to the patent 392084 by the fact that in the twisted and once interleaved winding a second winding, which consists of a both ends of a piece of tubing made of soft, broadly pressed wire, rolled outwards exists, pushed in and the open end of the first coil is pulled together. This wider rolled wire, wound as a hose, makes the sponge special voluminous and elastic, in that the hose is opened from both ends rolls towards the middle, as shown in Fig. 2. It is advantageous to roll that one end 2 more than the other end 3, approximately in a ratio of 1: 2. So as a cover, you take a piece of tubing made of tougher, more resistant material, which can also be other metal, and this cover tube piece is in the
Center twisted, just like with Main patent. Then you put the two parts 4 and 5 inside or on top of each other and plug them in the filling 2-3 in, as Fig. 4 shows. Is the cover then still contracted? and closed, the sponge is ready. Because the filling rolls are different are large, when pressure is applied from the outside, the smaller wraps can push themselves between the larger ones, as shown in Fig. 4, and when the pressure from the outside subsides, push themselves out again into position S, and thereby the result is that the sponge is particularly voluminous and elastic, which is due to the special material, the wider one Wire, can still be felt to a greater extent.
