Abstract

Sepn. of mercury and/or mercury cpds. comprises using at least one process stage in which a washing liq. is supplied which contains finely divided pref. colloidal. The additive is pref. a polysulphide soln. esp. of Na2Sx and/or (NH4)2Sx and/or K2Sx where x = 1-5. The additive is esp. pref. a soln. of sulphur in thiosulphate and/or alcohol and is acidic in a first stage and alkaline in a second stage. USE/ADVANTAGE - For sepn. of mercury (cpds) esp. from incineration of household rubbish or clarification mud.

Description

The invention relates to a method for the deposition of Mercury and / or compound containing mercury emissions - especially when burning houses garbage or sewage sludge - smoke in one Flue gas scrubber, at least one with a wash liquid loaded stage.

The object of the invention is the mercury and / or Compounds containing mercury in the wash to convert liquid into solid particles, the can be easily removed from the washing liquid.

The method is thereby to solve this task characterized in that the washing liquid is an additive is added, which ver ver in the washing liquid shared elemental sulfur.

The process is particularly effective when the additive colloidal sulfur is generated in the washing liquid.

It is particularly economical if the additive contains a polysulfide solution - in particular a solution of Na 2 S x and / or (NH 4 ) 2 S x and / or K 2 S x with 1 <x <5 - and / or if the additive contains a thiosulfate solution and / or an alcoholic solution of sulfur in water.

A particularly high level of mercury separation different types of connections are obtained, if the washing liquid is acidic in a first stage and is alkaline in a subsequent step.

To carry out the procedure it is sufficient if the washing liquid 20 to 40 mg, preferably 25 to 35 mg, Contains sulfur per liter.

To the solid particles generated by the additive to remove the washing liquid, are preferred generated by the additive in the washing liquid, filtered off essentially insoluble solid particles.

The invention is based on an embodiment example with reference to the attached drawing described.

In the drawing, a stage of a flue gas scrubber is outlined, which has a vertical jet washing pipe 2 and a separator 4 which adjoins the jet washing pipe 2 at the bottom. In the jet washing pipe 2 , the smoke to be cleaned is introduced in the direction of arrow 8 through a side connection 6 . A washing liquid is circulated through the jet washing pipe 2 and the separator 4 . For this purpose, the separator 4 has a bottom region 10 in which the washing liquid can collect up to a level determined by a level controller 12 . From the area 10 , the washing liquid is fed via a line 14 to a pump 16 and pumped by the pump through a line 18 to a downwardly directed nozzle arrangement 20 in the upper area of the jet washing pipe 2 , which is arranged above the nozzle 6 .

The additive described in the introduction is introduced into the region 10 through a line 22 and contaminated washing liquid is removed from the region 10 via a line 24 for filtering. The cleaned smoke is discharged from the upper area of the separator 4 via a nozzle 26 in the direction of the arrow 28 .
