In a suitable form, the packaging container is made in one piece and, as shown in FIG. 1, consists of a flat part, the bottom part ( 1 ), cover part ( 2 ) and the four side parts ( 19 ) by so-called film hinges ( 24 ), foldable connecting flaps , are held together. To open the container, the webbing, which consists of a material such as that used for securing pallets, is cut off. The cover part ( 2 ) is raised and the side parts ( 19 ) can be easily folded away. The packaged pancakes are thus freely accessible. The core support has an integrated handle ( 14 ) with which you can easily lift the support with the pancakes out of the packaging and then bring them to the processing station, which is usually located in a clean room. The structure of the packaging is now described in detail. To ensure dust and moisture protection of the packaging contents, the container has sealing strips ( 18 ) on the exposed outer edges of the side parts or the base part or the cover part, which engage in complementarily shaped grooves ( 20 ) of the corresponding parts when folded up. These strips or grooves can be designed so that they can be snapped in by appropriate technical measures. The core support ( 11 ) is in the packaging container with the bottom part and lid part ( 1 , 2 ) in the collapsed to stand rotatably connected. For this purpose, the bottom and lid parts each have depressions ( 3 , 4 ) in their inner side in the geometric center, from which individual projections ( 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 ) protrude. The end faces ( 9 , 10 ) of the partially cylindrical core support are shaped in such a way that they can be inserted non-rotatably into the depressions in the base and cover parts.

Furthermore, the core support, as is shown in FIG. 3, has on its lower end face ( 10 ), which is assigned to the base part ( 1 ), a shoulder ( 12 ) on which the winding core ( 13 ) to be located at the bottom with its inner bore adjacent bottom can support. On the upper side ( 9 ), the core support has a U-shaped handle ( 14 ), which is provided with two locking positions in a preferred embodiment. In the upper locking position, the handle is suitable for carrying the entire pancake stack and in the lower position, the handle is recessed in the core support for the purpose of transporting the closed packaging. The two legs ( 15 , 16 ) of the carrying handle ( 14 ) expediently have locking lugs (not shown) which lock the handle in the extended and retracted state. If the containers are too heavy, the handle can also be designed as a single-piece with the core support. In this case, gripping is possible through the recessed grip ( 17 ) seen under the handle.

For easy removal of individual pancakes, the core support has two opposite concave troughs ( 25 , 26 ) in the form of a circular section over its entire height.

On one of the outer surfaces of the packaging, a recessed label field ( 28 ), which additionally has recessed grips for removing or replacing a label, can be provided.

Instead of the one-piece construction described, the new container according to the invention can also be made in two or more parts, FIGS . 4 and 5 show two possible designs in which either the base and cover parts are connected to two side parts each, or the bottom part is connected to four side parts , on which the separate cover part is placed.

For the bulk transport of several packaging containers in the opened state, these are expediently provided along the outer edges of their base or cover part with grooves ( 23 ) which engage in corresponding complementarily shaped strips ( 18 ) of the opened side parts ( 19 ) and thus ensure a non-slip transport of several stacked ones Allow containers.
