Description

Verfahren zur Erzeugung hoher Temperaturen durch Verbrennung von vorgewärmtem Kohlenstaub und vorgewärmter Luft. In vielen Fabrikationszweigen, wie z. B. in Anlagen für Erzeugung von Kalziumkarbid, sind sehr hohe Temperaturen erforderlich. Bisher war die Erzielung der hierfür notwendigen Temperaturen: nur in elektrischen Öfen möglich, was, vom wirtschaftlichen Standpunkt aus beurteilt, infolge der wiederholten Energieumwandlungen, also von Kohlenwärme in Wasserdampf, von Dampf mit Hilfe von Dampfmaschinen in elektrische Energie und sodann wieder in Wärme, als recht ungünstig bezeichnet werden muß, da hierbei nur ein sehr geringer Wirkungsgrad zu erreichen ist. Aus diesem Grunde kam für die Erzeugung von Kalziumkarbid nur die Ausnutzung billigster Wasserkräfte in Betracht. Unter Beseitigung dieser übelstände sollen nach vorliegendem neuen Verfahren durch unmittelbare Erzeugung hoher Temperaturen wesentliche Vorteile besonders in wirtschaftlicher Beziehung erzielt werden. Nach dieseln Verfahren sollen die gewünschten hohen Temperaturen in folgender Weise erzeugt werden: In einem Kohlenstaubbrenner besonderer Bauart erfolgt die Mischung von Kohlenstaub und Luft derart, daß ein brennstoffreiches Gemisch erzeugt wird.
