Behandelt man ein mittelst Oelbades auf 170 bis 18o° erhaltenes Benzylacetat mit Chlor, so vollzieht sich eine der nachfolgenden Gleichung entsprechende Umsetzung:If a benzyl acetate obtained by means of an oil bath at 170 to 180 ° is treated with chlorine, an implementation corresponding to the following equation takes place:

Das Acetylchlorid wird zum Theil in abgekühlter Vorlage verdichtet, zum anderen Theil bleibt es dem Benzoylchlorid beigemischt und wird gleichzeitig mit diesem durch Rectification gereinigt.The acetyl chloride is partly compressed in a cooled receiver and partly it remains mixed with the benzoyl chloride and is simultaneously with this by rectification cleaned.
