Es sind als Verdichter oder Expansionskraftmaschinen verwendbare Maschinen bekannt, deren wesentlicher Teil wie bei den bekanntenZahnradpumpen einZahnräderpaar ist, bei denen jedoch im Gegensatz zu den bekannten Zahnradpumpen ein außen verzahntes (inneres) und ein innen verzahntes (äußeres) Rad verwendet wird und bei denen die Verzahnung so konstruiert ist, daß eine das innere Rad ganz umfassende Eingriffslinie existiert. Diese Eigenschaft hat z. B. eine Zykloidenverzahnung, wenn die Summe der Wälzkreisdurchmesser gleich der doppelten Exzentrizität ist. Macht man bei dieser Verzahnung außerdem die Zähnezahl des einen Rades um i kleiner als die des äußeren, so erstreckt sich der Eingriff bei spielfreier Verzahnung über die ganze Eingriffslinie, und es ist jeder Zahn des inneren Rades gleichzeitig mit einem Zahn des äußeren Rades in Eingriff.Compressor or expansion engine in the manner of a gear pump.
