Diese Vorrichtung dient dazu, die Fenster von innen putzen zu können, so dafs das oft lebensgefahrliche Putzen von aufsen vermieden wird. Ein langer Stab α trägt oben ein Holzfutter b, welches auf einer Seite ein Metallgefäfs c, auf der anderen eine viereckige Holzplatte d aufnimmt. Das Metallgefäfs dient zum Einstecken eines Schwammes. Es ist in Messing bauchig gedrückt und vom Rande aus eingeschlitzt. Die freistehenden Theile wirken federnd und geben etwas nach, wenn der angefeuchtete Schwamm eingesteckt wird, welchen sie dann wie Klammern umschliefsen und am Herausfallen hindern. Die Holzplatte d wird mit irgend einem weichen Polster und mit einem Ueberzug von Putzleder versehen. Eine Holzschraube e befestigt den Stab α, welcher in eine Bohrung des Futters eingesteckt ist.
