Verfahren zur Erzeugung von Altsilbernachahmungen auf kunstgewerblichen
Metallwaren aus Weißblech. Den Gegenstand der Erfindung bildet ein Verfahren zur
Erzeugung von Altsilbernachahmungen auf kunstgewerblichen Metallwaren jeder Art,
z. B. Haus-, Küchen-, Luxus- und Tafelgeräten, die aus Weißblech hergestellt sind.
Für die Anwendung des Verfahrens; kommen sowohl glatte Metallwaren in Betracht als
auch solche mit in das Grundmetall eingepreßten oder gedrückten Verzierungen, die
auch farbig ausgeführt werden können. Die Altsilbernachahmung wird auf den Metallwaren
in Hochglanz erzeugt, ohne daß eine Versilberung der Gegenstände erfolgt. Hierzu
werden die aus Weißblech bestehenden Gegenstände zunächst gedrückt oder gepreßt
und mit den Verzierungen versehen, worauf die Gegenstände galvanisch verzinnt werden.
Hierauf erfolgt die Behandlung der Metallwaren auf nassem Wege mittels der Drahtkratzbürste
(Zirkularbürste), wodurch die Gegenstände matt gekratzt werden. Nach dem Trocknen
dieser erfolgt die Weiterbehandlung durch Bearbeiten mit einer trockenen Drahtkratzbürste,
wodurch auf den Metallwaren, die bis zu dieser Behandlung den bekannten matten Zinnton
zeigen, ein Hochglanz erzeugt wird, wie er sonst nur bei Altsilberwaren vorhanden
ist. Die Erzeugung dieses Hochglanzes ist nur durch Kratzen, der Metallwaren auf
trockenem Wege mittels einer aus dünnen Drähten bestehenden Kratzbürste ohne jede
Zutat irgendeines Polier-oder Schleifmittels erreichbar. Durch Polieren wird kein
