Es ist jedoch der Erfindung gemäß der Ausweg vorhanden, den Winkelspiegel zwar aus Quarzgut herzustellen, die Spiegelplatten jedoch mit einem Überzug aus Quarz selbst zu überziehen. Ein solcher Überzug ist porenfrei herstellbar und erlaubt, wenn, in genügender Dicke angebracht, die Herstellung einwandfrei polierter Flächen, die dann versilbert werden.
