Description

Process for the automatic and continuous analysis of gases by dividing the gas sample into two equal partial flows. With the automatic gas detection apparatus the investigation is usually carried out with a measured amount of gas, whose volume change through out-. acquisition of the gas component to be determined the Amount of the latter. These apparatuses are quite extensive and included easily breakable parts, are therefore not suitable for use on different Place a plant. Recently, however, there are also designs for automatic ones Gas detection apparatus have become known that have these deficiencies and less which also enable an uninterrupted examination because they are not measured Gas samples are being worked on. Common to such apparatus is the thought of to be examined gases to continuously suck off one part and this part in two split the same partial streams, one of which is treated with absorbents which remove the gas component to be determined and thereby the pressure of the partial flow. The pressure reduction can be used as a measure of the amount of withdrawn gas apply. The creation of two equal partial currents occurs but at great difficulty and is only possible through constant regulation, if, as is known, each partial flow has a separate liquid resistance has overcome or if the urinary variability of the pressure of a partial flow - is caused by the very same suction effect - the suction device.

If you want the more frequent regulations and readjustments of the apparatus bypass, the two partial flows must be taken from a common pressure regulator will; of low unavoidable pressure Fluctuations will be then both partial flows equally affected. It will then be ensured that the two Partial flows on their way to the pressure gauge are at most low frictional resistances have to overcome, including that of an absorbable component releasing partial flow, the pressure reduction of one partial flow is always depend only on the amount of gas absorbed. Changes in specific gravity of solutions, changes in the moisture content of the gas, etc. are then complete without influence on the indications of the pressure gauge.

The apparatus described below meets these requirements.

Nach Abgabe des zu bestimmenden Gasbestandteils gelangt der zweite Teilstrom durch Rohr i z. ebenfalls in den Druckmesser und verläßt ihn durch Rohr i q..The by a suction device, e.g. B. a small fan, sucked gas sample enters a filter i and flows through tube z into the suction cup 3. The suction cup pushes the gas through pipe q. into the pressure regulator, which consists of a further cylinder 5, from the cover of which the narrower cylinder 6 hangs down. The lower opening of the inner cylinder is blocked by a barrier liquid, e.g. Water or a saline solution. Pipe q. flows below this barrier liquid. If more gas enters through this than can exit through the two outlet pipes 8 and 9 in the cover of the cylinder, the excess oil escapes from cylinder 6 into the further cylinder 5 and from there through opening 7 into the atmosphere. The Brexit; red 8 and 9 allow the same amount of gas to escape from cylinder 6. The partial flow escaping through tube 8 is fed directly to a pressure gauge 1z and leaves it through tube 13, while the partial flow escaping through tube 9 first enters an absorption apparatus in which there is a solid absorbent or surfaces wetted with absorbent solution. After the gas component to be determined has been released, the second substream passes through pipe i z. also into the pressure gauge and leaves it through pipe i q ..
