Abstract

The spectacles incorporate a bow which goes completely around the head of the wearer, and have lenses which when not in use fold downwards so that they lie flatly against the chest of the wearer with the bow around the neck. The spectacles do not require to be taken off, but can be retained comfortably under outer clothing. They can also be fitted with arrest or friction mechanism which retains the angle of inclination of the lenses. The centres of gravity can also be formed as press-button type unions, so that the spectacles can be hooked onto an object with the union open, protecting them from damage and the wearer from injury. USE/ADVANTAGE - To overcome problems with spectacles which hitherto have been suspended on a cord or chain around the neck of the wearer when not in use.
