Einrichtung zur Beleuchtung von Werkzeug- und anderen Maschinen oder sonstigen Arbeitsstellen. Es ist bekannt, daß Lichtstrahlen, die in einen Flüssigkeitsstrahl eingedrungen sind, in diesem gehalten werden. Diese Tatsache soll gemäß der Erfindung zur Beleuchtung von Arbeitsstellen verwendet werden, zu denen etwa ein Flüssigkeitsstrahl geleitet werden muß, um die Arbeitsstelle zu schmieren oder zu kühlen. Das in der Flüssigkeit geleitete Licht beleuchtet dabei hauptsächlich nur die Stelle, auf die die Flüssigkeit auftrifft, also die für die Arbeit wichtigste Stelle. Von besonderem Werte ist die Erfindung für den Fall, daß der Arbeitsvorgang in einem engen Raume, etwa in einem Bohrloch, stattfindet, der für Lichtstrahlen auf andere `'eise nicht mehr zugänglich ist. Es kann dann selbstverständlich auch für zweckmäßig erachtet werden, zur Lichtleitung eine besondere Flüssigkeit, also nicht die Schmier- oder Kühlflüssigkeit, zu benutzen.Equipment for lighting tools and other machines or other jobs. Der Unterschied dieser Anwendungen und der Erfindung wird durch den Hinweis darauf deutlich gemacht, daß bei der letzteren die Flüssigkeitsstrahlen selbst nicht leuchten, das Licht vielmehr nur an der Stelle, wo der Strahl auf die Arbeitsstelle auftrifft, aus dem Flüssigkeitsstrahl heraustreten soll. Genauer besteht der Unterschied darin, daß bei der älteren Anwendung leuchtende Flüssigkeitsstrahlen hergestellt werden, die - nach der in der neueren Lichttechnik üblich gewordenen Unterscheidung - »Signallichter« darstellen, während der der Erfindung gemäß mit dem Flüssigkeitsstrahl mitgeführte Lichtstrom, da, wo er aus diesem austritt, einen andern Gegenstand beleuchten soll.The conduction of light in jets of liquid is not in itself new.
